International Expansion Manager | Fast Growth Health Scaleup | London | £60k

Harmonic are delighted to be supporting one of London's most exciting Health scale-ups on the hire of an International Expansion Manager in response to rapid-growth over the past few years.

Only a couple of years into their journey, this business spotted a gap in the market and is on course for a c.£1M turnover which is double that of the previous year with much more to come. They are already stocked with major UK retailers and are increasingly growing their footprint in the UK and across the Globe and are transitioning into an International business.

Sales have been strong over the past year and have come through growing their E-commerce presence as well as maintaining retail relationships. This has also caught the eye of a blue-chip investor who has injected major finding into this business so drive international expansion (think Europe, Australia, Asia and America!).

As a result of this growth, the client is looking for an Expansion Manager to head up this period of growth. Working closely with the Founder and Finance Director you will be based in their super quirky offices in Central London and business partner with the leadership team to deliver and capitalise on growth opportunities.

The Role:

  • Collaborate with Founders & Investors to launch into new jurisdictions - there are some exciting opportunities in the pipeline currently for Scandinavia and Austria.
  • Work with key investors and stakeholders on pipeline for global expansion projects
  • Collaborate with UK suppliers and partners on existing relationships to mitigate what expansion might look like
  • Work closely with sales to forecast and analyse pipeline. Work to build out robust plans and relationships stemming from this.
  • Focused Business Development strategies on targeting key clients - client pitches and sales contract / negotiations.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain on Demand planning for future expansion and viability.
  • Work with Founder to outline and mitigate risk vs reward for new territories.

What our client would like to see:

  • Experience in an SME within the FMCG space
  • Confident spoken and written communication style
  • Entrepreneurial, creative, and resourceful
  • Commercially savvy and customer focused - the international customer base with vary in terms of culture, nature of business and language so its important that you are flexible and adaptable.
  • Driven and good with organisation and planning

What we need to see:

  • Desire to work in a fast- paced environment
  • Oversight of a bigger business (i.e c. £10m turnover)
  • Experience in international product launches
  • Working with teams who have won new accounts (strong evidence of working with sales/finance or S&OP to deliver results)
  • Foreign language skills would be advantageous but are not a necessity.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 plus benefits

Notice: 2 Months max

Working: Flexible working offered - offices based in Central London.
