My prestigious client is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their friendly team based in Hereford. You will have experience in bookkeeping or accounts. Monday to Thursday, 9 – 5
Friday, 9 – 4
The job role will involve payroll administration, processing sales and purchase ledgers, bank reconciliations, VAT returns and monthly management account reviews and reporting.
Day to day bookkeeping activities
Purchase and sales ledgers
Balancing accounts and management schedules
Communication with clients on a regular basis regarding their bookkeeping duties
Working in the office and at client premises
Creating sales invoices on behalf of clients
Contacting client customers or suppliers where necessary
Liaising with HMRC
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Bookkeeping & payroll experience
Understanding of basic VAT, employee tax & pension regulations
Confidentiality and data protection practices
Attention to detail
Organisation and multi-tasking
Ability to meet deadlines
Computerised payroll packages and Microsoft Excel
Sage Accounts and Xero software – desirable but not essential
