We are currently working with a global market leader with over 100 years of history, £6 billion turnover and a reputation for having market leading solutions. They are looking for their next sales professional to join one of their key professional services divisions to help sell their Software and Information solutions.

You will need to be passionate about the chance to bring your extensive sales experience to a world class company that is market leading. You will make up part of the national sales team focused on delivering solutions that add value to the customer base, in the knowledge you are entering the meeting with the best solutions.

You will be in charge of driving new business within a defined territory keeping a constant level of contact with our internal partners and external client base, the focus being on developing new business opportunities. 60% of your sales will come from warm leads whilst 40% will be new business from prospecting.

You will need to be experienced in the full sales cycle and be confident demoing solutions to clients. You will create, manage, and close a pipeline of new business opportunities from the initial lead creation through to providing the agreed solution to the new client. This will require a high level of consultative work.

New Business Account Manager: About the Role

  • Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims.
  • Maintain excellent sales process methodology and communication
  • Manage and own a sales pipeline which consistently delivers above expectation results
  • Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems
  • Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the sales process
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
  • Provide input into the future sales vision including new markets, new products, new customers and new ways of doing business

New Business Account Manager: About You

  • 2+ years B2B sales experience within a consultative new business sales role
  • Results orientated; focused on achieving targets and objectives
  • Proven track record of outbound opportunity creation
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders
  • Excellent influencing skills with proven negotiating abilities
  • Self-starter, able to launch and implement projects of own initiative
  • High focus on customer service and satisfaction
  • Enthusiastic to develop fresh ideas and learn new skills
