Business Development Manager

Remote Based

£100k + 15% Bonus

Purpose of Position

This position is responsible for developing the business of Electric Vehicle Services related products, solutions and services in the Fleet market in Europe for the E-Mobility business. The Business Development Manager will generate leads and continuously grow the revenue of these products and services within this market.

Key Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager for the Fleet market in Europe, will lead the business development of Electric Vehicle Services related products, solutions and services in the fleet market in Europe:

  • Prepare sales action plan and strategies for the fleet market in Europe
  • Schedule sales activity
  • Develop and maintain a customer database
  • Generate leads
  • Meet or exceed sales targets
  • Make sales calls to new and existing customers
  • Develop and make presentations of company products
  • Negotiate with customers
  • Develop sales proposals
  • Prepare and propose sales contracts
  • Conduct product training
  • Maintain sales activity records and prepare sales reports
  • Respond to sales enquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person
  • Ensure customer service satisfaction and good customer relationships
  • Follow up on sales activity
  • Carry out market research and surveys
  • Participate in sales events
  • Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development
  • Define new market requirements
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge

Personal Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics or related field
  • Experience in business to business sales and in distributor channel management (> 5 years)
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with customers and partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience in working with a CRM system
  • Competency in Microsoft applications
  • Ability to assess and synthesise strategy from market intelligence
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and continuously changing environment
  • Excellent customer service
  • Proven success rate at levels above quotas is highly desirable
  • Experience of deep market analysis and customer understanding and developing sales strategies
  • Retail Petroleum industry and the Fleet/Commercial market knowledge is highly beneficial
  • Exposure to Finance environment (e.g. understanding financial reports) is beneficial
