Job Description
We are currently seeking a Bookkeeper to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Doncaster. The bookkeeper is responsible for accurately recording and processing all incoming and outgoing transactions on a daily basis. You will need to be a highly motivated, self-starter that is able to work alone with initiative to maintain the cash flow of the business by collecting debts and customer payments.
Key Responsibilities
* Checking customer’s credit ratings
* Timely and effective collection of all debts and customers payments
* Maintaining contact with clients to ensure invoices are clear for payment
* Resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices
* Posting and allocating daily receipts to accounting systems
* Providing accounts information to internal departments
* Entering Incoming payments
* Enter Purchase Invoices on to Sage
* Checking account applications and entering on Sage
* Bank reconciliation – all accounts
* Producing finance reports
* VAT Returns
* Producing statements and emailing/posting to customers
* Work with accountants to produce monthly and quarterly accounts
* Sorting post incoming and outgoing
Requirements
* Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
* Qualified to AAT level 3
* Ability to reconcile complex accounts and have excellent attention to detail
* Competence in Microsoft Office products, XL, Word, email and internet
* Prior experience with Sage 200 (or minimum Sage 50)
* Calm, confident manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
* Creative, practical and able to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Have accounting knowledge and experience – understand bank reconciliation
* Ability to work in a team

* Salary- £28,000- £32,000 pro rata
