Radar Recruitment have been exclusively retained to support a well-established family-run organisation who have been operating in the local area for over 20 years. We are currently recruiting an Bookkeeper following plans to upgrade and up skill a previous position. Aside from covering the typical remit of an SME Finance department we are seeking an individual with a proactive and inquisitive mindset who will be keen to overhaul the long-standing processes and procedures to maximise efficiency. Ultimately the business has plans to grow and wishes the Finance department to be an influential factor in the commercial decisions the senior leadership team take.
Responsibilities:
* Overseeing all company accounts,bank reconciliations, creditors, and debtors and HMRC payments.
* Managing the end-to-end payroll process
* VAT returns
* Overseeing credit control, invoicing and payments runs
* Cash flow management and forecasting
* Creation and management of forecasts, budgets, P&L and wider management accounts
* Support to senior leadership through generation of management information, commercial reports and relevant commentary
* Process projects - overhauling of procedures to maximise efficiency
Profile:
* AAT or equivalent or actively studying towards qualification
* Prior experience in a similar 'doer-of-all' role
* Excellent technical understanding of each of the key financial statements
* Experience compiling monthly management information
* Highly organised and excellent attention to detail
* Good communicator
* Naturally inquisitive with a proactive mindset
