We are currently working with a global market leader with over 100 years of history, £6 billion turnover and a reputation for having market leading solutions. They are looking for their next sales professional to join one of their key professional services divisions to help sell their Media, Information and Software division. This global brand is world class, the average employee stays for more than 9 years and they employ over 40000 people globally.

They are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Account Manager with a successful track record of meeting and exceeding annual sales goals. Selling a portfolio of their award-winning platforms; digital display and programmatic, native, mobile, video, account-based marketing, broadcast solutions, custom content and event sales. The role is primarily responsible for developing and managing clients within the Energy and Technology markets.

You will be tasked with managing a base of existing accounts but mainly focusing on new business into a broad range of industries including Media, Broadcasting, Government etc. The key with this position is to consistently achieve monthly, quarterly, annual sales objectives through securing new business and contract renewals in order to meet and exceed targets as agreed with the Director.

About the Role: Business Development Manager - Energy & Technology

  • Lead the Energy and Technology vertical which includes managing existing relationships and driving new business
  • Pro-actively pitch new ideas, concepts and solutions to clients
  • Stay on top of industry trends and understand how to maximize opportunities in new and emerging areas.
  • Provide accurate account management and forecasting
  • As the most senior sales leader within EMEA you are expected to be a mentor to your colleagues driving sales excellence and sharing media knowledge and insights, whilst hitting and exceeding targets.
  • This role requires strong leadership skills to support the Senior Commercial Director in EMEA

Experience needed: Business Development Manager - Energy & Technology

  • Significant Media Sales experience, within Energy or Technology
  • Proven success in selling integrated programs on an international basis
  • Contacts in the London and European market with specific strength in Energy, Government & Technology
  • Proven success in selling large value deals to clients direct and in conjunction with their agencies
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment that includes Sales, Editorial, Product and Design
  • A passion for media, broadcasting, publishing, news
