Internal Account Manager - Janitorial Supplies

Based - South London

Hours - Monday to Friday

Salary - £22,000 - £35,000 dependant on experience OTE £50,000 + Benefits

The Company

Based in London, our client supplies hygiene products to professionals and individual customers nationwide. They offer businesses a full range of janitorial and cleaning consumables. They sell into wholesale supplies and commercial equipment to include healthcare, educational, and hotel supplies.

Due to strategic expansion they now seek to appoint a further internal account manager to be based from their offices in south east London.

A day in the life of a Internal Key Account Manager

  • Utilise reports for repeat orders, complete gap analysis and review customer trends
  • Present and gain agreement from all the customers within the portfolio that ensures the customer sees this approach as added value from their current relationship, that it supports both customer and commercial requirements and supports the customer with continuous improvement and innovation
  • Implement a clear understanding of the customer's organisations and build strong working partnership across all areas of the business
  • Work with the team to ensure that the customer experiences the best and most appropriate level of support and service and that ultimately to the customer reflects a single joined up team approach
  • Work with the Tenders team to produce final bids and documents to the customers
  • Generate timely management reports as required that will include pipelines, current portfolio revenue, identifying risks and opportunities with action plan to support
  • Ensure clarity with all stakeholders, with a proactive approach to service management
  • Work proactively with your portfolio, with a planned schedule of contact, using reports and information to keep the customer up to date, ensuring that you get the most from your visits and calls
  • Accurately update and input customer details on to the CRM system
  • Proactive outbound calls on a weekly basis to generate growth within the customer database

The ideal candidate for a Key Account Manager will be:

  • A proven service or sales professional operating at the minimum of key and high value account level. A growth track record in a B2B sales/service environment (Janitorial Supplies), with a strong level of commercial acumen, gained from account management or large/key sales background
  • Strong knowledge of UK marketplaces and competitors, or experience of similar markets
  • Highly developed selling skills with excellent communication skills both telephone and written, with the interpersonal skills to influence other parts of the business
  • IT literate, with an emphasis on using technology to be effective and productive
  • High levels of energy, commitment and tenacity with a strong understanding of the sales/service process and large accounts processes and buying behaviours
  • Ability to work on own, planning diary and working autonomously within your defined role
  • Full clean Driving License is required for this role
