Multiple opportunities have arisen for Bookkeepers for a company that specialises in providing businesses with services that are vital for success, such as accountancy, financial and law consultation. This is a full time, permanent opportunity in the Derbyshire region.
The Bookkeeper will be part of the Business Services team. You will be working alongside the clients supporting them to improve their accounting and bookkeeping functions within their businesses.
You will be required to undertake bookkeeping for an allocated portfolio of clients as well as financial administrative support to the Head of Business Services.
The role would suit a candidate who has gained experience in an accountancy practice, so you understand the end-to-end process from bookkeeping through to management accounts.
The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.
Data processing manually or using Dext software.
Reconciliation of bank accounts and balance sheet control accounts.
Management of sales and purchase ledgers.
Preparation of management accounts.
VAT return preparation for allocated clients.
Preparation of CIS returns
Client liaison to respond to queries.
Skills and Knowledge required:
Experience with Xero and other relevant Cloud accounting software.
AAT qualification desirable but not essential.
Knowledge of VAT returns preferable.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Multi-tasking abilities & excellent organisational skills.
Ability to prioritise.
Ensure a high level of service to meet client expectations.
Additional experience of credit control, purchase ledger, payroll is extremely useful.
Salary for this opportunity is £23k-£25k plus good company benefits.
You will work 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with occasional early finishes on a Friday, based on business performance.
