SF Recruitment are working with a market leading manufacturing business in Leicester who are looking for an Accounts Administrator to join their business on a full time, permanent basis. This full time role is ideal for an experienced bookkeeper with administration skills to maintain, process and monitor the day to day bookkeeping in particular in terms of purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, cash, sales processing where needed and to generally support and assist the Financial Controller. Ad hoc duties would include making travel arrangements for staff, telephone and reception duties, holiday and sickness cover and general office administration as required.

The candidate will have good time management, and be organised and adaptable to new tasks as they arise. The candidate will demonstrate a 'hands on' approach to work & must be computer literate. You will need to be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Duties of the Accounts Assistant;
- Purchase Ledger; Invoice posting and processing, Allocating payments to the ledger & reconciliation of supplier statements
- Preparing supplier statement payment runs for approval
- Dealing with Queries from suppliers
- Non purchase ledger payments
- General ledger journals as required
- Balance sheet account reconciliations as required
- Preparation of schedules for month end
- Bank and petty cash postings and reconciliations for all accounts including foreign currency accounts
- Petty cash for multiples currencies
- Monthly costs recharge invoices to branches
- Month end close of sales and purchase ledgers
- Expense management
- Fixed Asset register maintenance as required
- Involvement and assistance in annual and periodical stock takes
- Banking
- Answering telephone calls as required
- Filing and office support
- Arranging delivery and collection notes
- Making travel arrangements for employees
- Monitoring admin email account
- Answering telephone calls as required
