Bookkeeper/ Accounts Assistant Location: Crawley Salary: £20,000-£22,000 per annum, DOE Contract: Full Time, Permanent We are currently looking for a Bookkeeper / Administrator to join our Crawley office. An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic organised person to join our friendly accountancy practice in Crawley. Training will be given where required but a working knowledge of bookkeeping or an accounting technician qualification to level 3 is required. Ideal candidate experience requirements: Bookkeeping experience in QuickBooks preferred but full training will be given Able to produce up to trial balance from client receipts and records Understanding of VAT, PAYE, CT600 and/or SA100 tax an advantage Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge (Pivot Tables, SUMIF and Lookups) Administration of office including client calls and file management Self-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines Bookkeeper duties: Preparation of trial balance from client paper records Obtain missing information from clients Reconciliation of Cash at Bank and Petty cash book General ledger journals VAT returns /CIS returns Office administrator duties: Maintain client records using both paper and digital HMRC archives Book appointments Prepare quotes on Ignition software Payroll administration Rental property and sole trader tax return preparation Role and schedule: Permanent position 37 hours per week Hours 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday Remote working only available in emergency Benefits and Opportunities: Join a growing international network of tax and accountancy service Bonus paid if office targets met NEST pension Health Assured support Training provided If you have the relevant skills and experience to be successful within this role, then click APPLY', forwarding a recent copy of your CV for consideration in the first instance.
