Our client is one of the world’s leading artisans in professional home kitchens. They create handcrafted pieces in their renowned sleek industrial style, each kitchen showing off a bespoke design with sophisticated mechanisms.

Their UK Showroom is based centrally in London and is by appointment only. Their clients are mainly commercial and include Architects, Interior Designers, Joinery Manufacturers and Developers from all over the UK and Ireland.

They have a newly created role for a Commercial Manager - Design & Sales. Your remit will be to oversee all commercial aspects and the logistics of the orders. It will start with taking the brief with the client and sending it off to the Head Office so the manufacturing drawings can be produced for the factory. You will then be overseeing the project through to completion, managing the clients, liasing with production and overseeing the installation.

Although the role will be based in the Showroom you will be required from time to time to carry out site visits as well as booking meetings with clients to network, taking part in marketing events, establishing new business relationships and building upon existing ones.

Person and experience required for the Commercial Manager role:

  • In order to have the gravitas and knowledge base you will need at least 8 years' industry experience
  • An excellent understanding of the luxury bespoke kitchen marketplace
  • Happy to network and good at business development
  • Able to take a design brief
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Professional and a very smart appearance
  • Proactive, self-motivated and organised

Salary will be c£40k to £50k plus travel and business expenses. There will also be occasional trips to Head Office in Italy.
