Kent Frozen Foods (Kff) have over 50 years’ experience of supplying catering essentials, including an extensive range of locally sourced, regional products and high end ingredients.

We’re one of the very few food wholesalers that are able to deal with a range of customers from small independents to larger regional groups across the UK.

Kff is a part of Sysco Speciality in the UK, which includes brands such as Fresh Direct, M&J Seafood, Wild Harvest & Fresh Fayre. This is great from a career development perspective, as our colleagues can move around the brands, broadening their knowledge of our products and customers.

About the role…

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for growing the MAT, exceeding sterling and profit targets for kff within a defined geographical area, by selling a range of chilled, dry and frozen products from the kff range. Area Sales Managers are expected to generate their own opportunities and develop business in both existing and new business sectors.

About you…

  • Previous sales experience in Food Sector sales, showing a result’s driven sales career to-date
  • A passion for food and can demonstrate creativity in menu design and understands portioning control, menu planning and financial costing etc.
  • Competent in demonstrating you can communicate at all levels both verbally and written
  • Confident in cold calling as well as customer care and development of existing customers
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize
  • PC Literate and confident in using Microsoft packages especially excel
  • Can demonstrate a “self –starter” approach to their role and own development
  • Understanding of the principles of Persuasive/Consultative Selling process
