Job Title: Bookkeeper
Salary: £32,000 per annum
Location: Stevenage, Hybrid
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30
Contract: 12-month FTC

THE COMPANY
Our client based in Stevenage are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to provide accounting support to the team. You will be responsible for undertaking bookkeeping duties and to ensure deadlines and standards are met.
Ideally, the successful applicant will have previously worked within an Accountancy practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES
·Supporting a portfolio if clients, and responsible for duties such as bookkeeping, VAT, and other duties as required.
·Applying the software Xero to fit in with the clients' requirements
·Reviewing work completed by team members
·Liaising with clients directly to resolve queries and or to obtain further information
·Developing and maintaining good relationships with managers and other team members
·Monitoring and reviewing accounting systems reports

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
·Proven background in bookkeeping within a practice is essential
·Experience in using Xero and Excel
·Client facing experience
·Strong communication skills
·ACCA or AAT qualified is preferred but not essential
