We are now recruiting for Assistant Area Manager to join our Highways team in Towcester to be responsible for delivering the key customer focused outcomes & goals set out by Northamptonshire Highways, ensuring operational and financial targets and key performance indicators are met.

Key Responsibilities

The role includes night working on rota during winter maintenance and stand-by during the summer to cover emergency response. The role also includes managing the plant for the Northamptonshire Highways contract ensuring compliance with LOLER and PUWER regulations. The Assistant Area Manager will also deputise for the Area Manager for all aspects of operational delivery, the role is responsible for the implementation of all Northamptonshire Highways health & safety; Quality and Environmental policies and procedures.

What do we need from you?

Experience of delivering highways maintenance for local authority contracts
Knowledge of Construction Design Management & Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations.
Thorough understanding of the Safety at Street Works and Road Works Code of Practice
IOSH managing Safely or Lantra SMSTS
NVQ level 6 in Construction Site Management preferable
Sector 12D M7 in traffic managementwe offer our employees.
