IT Helpdesk Technician



This is an exciting IT Helpdesk role, reporting to the IT Manager, you will work as part of a busy and rapidly growing business.  The successful candidate will have real responsibility in this role from your first day and will be the first point of call for troubleshooting IT problems across the site.  You must be well organized, prioritise your work and have a calm demeanour.  You will be enthusiastic about finding solutions to problems and work with teams to see them through.


Responding and following up IT Help desk requests via email, phone & in person

Offering at desk or remote IT assistance for PCs, tablets, mobile phones & printers

Installing computer software, hardware, setting up new users and PCS and diagnosing software errors

Writing up user training documents for new and existing solutions to build a Training Library

Supporting common IT issues including Email, Printing, Phones, Microsoft Office and software patching

Supporting Microsoft Dynamics Queries

Supporting Networking team when required

Helping to Implement Paper free solutions & maintaining accurate documentation

Ensuring Electrical safety standards are met

Performing regular maintenance on PC stock (Virus scanners, updates etc.)

Performing software and hardware benchmarking to ensure licence compliance and adherence to group policies

Skills and Knowledge

2 years+ experience in a similar role

Brilliant understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite Including: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, OneDrive, Skype for Business & Office 365

Good knowledge of computer hardware & software systems

Understanding of basic IT networking concepts

Remarkable attention to detail and outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Any experience of MS Dynamics ERP, Kronos or SharePoint Online would be desirable

Basic understanding of Windows Server 2012-19 also desirable
