Land Surveyor or Site Engineer. Capable of working independently on civils, earthworks projects, setting out and monitoring in Suffolk and Essex. £260 - £270 UTR. CSCS essential, also need own transport to access the site office.
Project briefs include:
* Working for contractors ~ to survey existing terrain, then to monitor earthworks in reshaping contours and relief features. Setting out, monitoring, QA.
* Monitoring flood bank construction. Knowledge of compaction testing is an advantage. To work on large drainage schemes
* Contractor’s requirement to work on large drainage and infrastructure schemes; setting out and monitoring works to include QA and records.
* Landscaping schemes for main and subcontractors
Land Surveyor or Site Engineer with 2-4 years UK experience to work in the field with a good grasp of what is involved in setting out on both large and small schemes. Land Surveyor or Site Engineer. Qualified to degree level you will have practical experience in working with either a main contractor or a subcontractor. Since you will need to operate with minimal supervision it is likely that you will have 2-4 years field experience to carry out the duties.
Roving role, own transport essential. You will need to access the site office, close to Colchester, to then collect a company vehicle for site work or to work in the office writing up surveys and reports.
Communication must be good in both written and oral situations. IT literacy and use of AutoCAD must be adequate for the role. Robotic equipment is to be used.
CSCS certification is essential, whilst SMSTS or SSSTS would be an advantage. Only those legally entitled to live and work in the UK with suitable and relevant experience will be considered for the position.
Rate: £260 - £270 UTR negotiable. Currently 5 days per week
