We are currently seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a warm and welcoming school with a ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted. This role is based in the Benfleet area. The position requires you to work full time, Monday to Friday working with a year 6 pupil with additional needs. The right candidate will have an experienced individual who is comfortable to work on a 1:1 basis with a child with autism, as well as assist the classroom teacher with any classroom tasks.

The successful candidate will uphold the schools’ values continuously and have a passionate, motivated, and resilient approach to child development and education. Individua’s who have experience with Autism, SEMH, MLD and any other additional needs are desired.

Key information:

-          Working on a 1:1 basis with a child with additional needs

-          Full time role (8:30 – 3:30 working day)

-          Happy working with a Year 6 pupil

-          Long term position with an option to go permanent

-          SEN Specific

Key responsibilities:

-          One to one support with an autistic pupil

-          Proactively support SEN students when needed

-          Promoting positive behaviour, resilience and raising self-esteem within the pupils

-          To work in partnership with the classroom teacher

-          Responsible for own transport

-          Upholding the schools’ values

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
