Career Teachers are currently working with a lovely Primary mainstream school in the L26 area of Liverpool. This very well-run and resourced Primary School is looking to add a Teaching Assistant with experience supporting in KS1 & KS2 to their existing team.

The school has requested an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their busy, friendly team on a long-term basis. Working Monday to Friday, 8.30-3.30pm.

You will also be required to work with some children with special educational needs, supporting in the classroom, in small groups or one to one. This will all be carried out under the guidance of the class teacher.

The role involves supporting children aged 5-11 years old and flexibility to move between KS1 & KS2 classes is a must. The children require an easy-going and friendly approach to support during lessons, and some break times.

Creating and using daily visual timetables, liaising with outside agencies if and when needed and supporting the curriculum-based activities will ensure the individual needs of the children are met.

This exciting role is full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am-3.30pm, although some flexibility with start and finish times may be needed at times.

To be successful in this role you will have:
A calm but firm approach to supporting children
Report writing skills and feeding back to the class teacher
Experience supporting children aged from 5-11 years and/or knowledge of the primary curriculum
Creativity in appropriate resource making and implementing
