Assistant General Manager
£55,000 - £60,000 Plus £7500 Car allowance

Aspion Search are a Leading Consultancy in the recruitment of Senior level Financial representatives and we are Looking for an assistant general manager for a client that is looking at expanding their team.
The client are a leading provider within the retails sector and they are growing immensely, 2021 seen a £3.6m profit margin. Their working environment is consistently getting reviews as being the most productive effective place that any of their staff have worked
This role reports directly to the General Manager of a Financial based Company and is responsible for overseeing the Portfolio Management and Operations Teams. The Assistant General Manager will have 4 direct reports and 11 indirect reports within their scope of responsibility.
Within Portfolio Management they will be responsible for the management of a number of loan portfolios totalling over £100m. Their primary aim is to achieve corporate, regional, national and individual performance standards relating to delinquency, loss and recoveries. This area of the business is also largely responsible for driven sales growth to maintain and grow portfolio balance and customer count.
The operations team are responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the finance operation. The Assistant General Manager has oversite of all Finance purchasing functions, payment application, GL analyses/balancing and documentation control.
The Assistant General Manager will be expected to have general knowledge of the other operations within the business to provide cover and support for the General Manager as required.
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for working directly with the General Manager and Compliance Manager to ensure that all processes within their scope of responsibility are completed with regulatory compliance in mind. They will be responsible for the creation, adaptation and implementation of regulatory changes as required.
