Central Employment are pleased to be working with a leading food manufacturer based in Gateshead. They are currently looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant.
Purpose of the Accounts Assistant:
The Accounts Assistant will ensure accurate and timely transactional processing of supplier invoices to support the delivery of financial information for the business.
Timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices to agreed terms for the company ensuring they comply with all UK VAT regulations.
Supplier master data maintenance
Payment of suppliers via weekly payment runs
Resolution of price and quantity queries with buyers prior to payment
Reconciliation of supplier statements, resolving balancing items with internal stakeholders and suppliers
Management and continuous review of creditor's ledger
Processing and payment of travel and business expenses
Social fund account management
Any other ad hoc work as requested by the Finance Function
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, quality and employee handbook procedures and practices
Previous experience in a similar role ideally in a manufacturing environment
High level of attention to detail
Demonstrate a can-do attitude
