Job Description
Staff position available at an independent, internationally known book publisher, Genesis Publications Ltd. We are looking for a marketing assistant with some previous experience in marketing communications, marketing research, events and social media management. This role is ideal for a flexible, positive team player with a can-do attitude to working in a small collaborative team.
Role and Responsibilities:
Copywriting for the marketing of books including back cover text, press releases, brochures, news items, and customer emails
Proofreading, fact-checking and uploading news items to the company website
Understanding of keyword optimisation techniques and best practice
Producing sales and marketing materials, including researching suitable images
Conducting web-based marketing and daily social media
Researching and maintaining the social media calendar
Executing email and online advertising campaigns and monitoring performance
Taking responsibility for complete and up-to-date title metadata through our publishing management system
Providing service and support to retailers, distributors, PR reps, sales agents, and customers
Creation of online press toolkits
Events preparation and support
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
At least two years' marketing experience
Excellent written English
Proficiency with MS Office
Ideally some experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
Adaptable and able to thrive in a small-team environment
Great communicator
Knowledge of or an interest in photography, music, books, and/or the publishing industry a bonus
