Signature Recruitment have an excellent opportunity to join our client, a Russel Group University, as an Assistant Management Accountant. The role will be full-time and on a temp - perm basis. The successful candidate will be providing high quality administrative support to the Academic and financial departments within the Health faculties.

Overall responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant will involve monitoring the Faculty finance email boxes, reconciliations, processing journals and invoice requests. You will be working closely with the Management Accountants and the Finance Business Partner and will have strong communication, organisation and numerical skills. Assistant Management Accountant Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing administrative support to the Health Management Accounts team and in supporting the team on the HR project
  • Dealing with Faculty queries that come into generic email inboxes as appropriate and escalating where necessary
  • Telephone Recharges - reconciling accounts, validating charges and ensuring bills paid in timely manner
  • Providing cover for centralised tasks such as sales invoicing when required
  • Acting as a primary contact for Faculty staff, helping to resolve their queries & problems including checking account balances and running relevant reports
  • Raising POs (and checking funding source)
  • Posting of financial journals
  • Responsible for small, discrete areas of work, such as overseeing budget on small self-contained projects
  • Other reasonable duties as prescribed

Assistant Management Accountant Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • A quick learner and numerical literacy
  • Reconciliation experience
  • Strong organisational skills
