Your role at Orbit.
With an established track record delivering over 10,000 homes to date and ambition to build a further 6,500 new homes before 2025, Orbit is one of the countrys major housing developers.
We are recruiting a Land and New Business Director for our Orbit Homes Southern region.u00A0 We have a good number of developments in progress, numerous sites starting this year and a strong pipeline of land for direct build and other contracted schemes.u00A0
As the Land and New Business Director you will;-
Lead and manage the Regional Land & New Business Team by formulating strategic and subjective objectives that align with Orbit Homes and South Region objectives.
Identify, negotiate and acquire commercially beneficial, land and development opportunities of mixed tenure and in accordance with agreed business plans (5-year land supply at circa 500 units per annum).
Manage project delivery pre-contract to ensure all necessary approvals, contracts, detailed planning consents and any associated agreements are in place to facilitate start on sites within approved timeframes and ensuring regular progress update and forecasting is maintained with Finance, Sales, Commercial and Construction Teams.
Support the Regional RMD in all matters associated with Land, New Business and Development and be an effective member of the Regional Management Team.
What will help you make a difference.
Comprehensive knowledge and experience of the land acquisition and planning process within the Private and RP Sector.
Large established contact base.
Exceptional business and commercial acumen.
Competent knowledge of JCT Contract and Development Agreement Documentation
Excellent communication skills and experience working with internal and external partners.
Brilliant leadership skills, with the ability to support, motivate and drive a team forwards.
It would be beneficial to have a knowledge of RP governance, controls and development audit processes.
In depth knowledge of Joint Ventures and Quasi-partnerships.
