Experienced Insurance professional, insurance qualified with 5+ years’ experience in the General Insurance industry with ideally at least 3 years in a Business Development/Key Account Management role

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Distribution, the Broker Business Development Manager will manage and develop profitable business opportunities with AXA Broker partners in line with AXA strategy. Main responsibilities include 

Manage Key Broker relationships on commercial accounts to develop business opportunities, deliver KPIs, quality service and resolve issues (underwriting and finance) for brokers
Respond effectively to policy queries from Broker partners on a referral basis within agreed authorities
Adhere to the control environment including underwriting QA, Risk, Internal Audit and Compliance environment to ensure a high level of governance within Broker area
Work closely with the AXA Commercial Teams in Belfast, Derry & Dublin to achieve performance targets and service objectives
Communicate the Company’s sales strategy and product range to all Brokers and ensure Broker understanding of strategy
Participate in product and service working groups to develop and deliver regular product training with brokers
Your Profile
At least 5 years’ experience in the General Insurance industry with ideally at least 3 years in a Business Development/Key Account Management role
Certificate in Insurance Practice (CIP) essential
Excellent knowledge of current practices within the insurance market
Advanced knowledge of insurance products
Knowledge of regulatory and legislative environment
Strong relationship management and influencing skills
Key decision making, organisational and communication skills
