The Role:

A role for a Junior Broker/Broker has arisen for an enthusiastic self-motivated individual within the Financial Institutions Team and more specifically within the Trinity Team that is looking after, among others, one major French commercial bank.

Principal Accountabilities:

Conduct Risk:

To put the interests of clients and the integrity of the market at the heart of the way you do business

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

Initial duties/responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Working with the rest of the Trinity Team when dealing with new enquiries and obtaining insurers’ feedback
Preparing basic documentation for the market and client, and summarising feedback
Working with the relevant team members to understand and record figures (premium/brokerage) within the relevant monitoring tools/spreadsheets

Developing to:

Liaising with clients on new and existing enquiries
Broking new transactions in Lloyd’s and to the company markets
Servicing policies once bound and generally providing post-sales support including issuing mid-term adjustments, updating Financial Solutions’ ERP (Eclipse) and liaising with billing team accordingly as well as assisting with claims as and when required
General support to the client by email, telephone and face to face meetings as required


The role will be reporting to the Trinity Team’s Executive Director.

The Requirements

Skills / Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following skill sets & attributes:

Up to 2-year experience in the insurance and/or trade finance industry including exposure to Political and Credit risks, graduates with a strong willingness to learn also welcome
Willingness to work towards ACII qualification within a reasonable time frame
Be able to assist in preparation of proposals and presentations using marketing resources, practice groups and other producers
Highly organised
Attention to detail
Be able to maintain face-to-face and telephone contact with clients and Underwriters
Problem solving skills essential
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills essential
Must be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment where lateral thinking, initiative, self-motivation and decision-making skills are crucial
Good use of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word
