Mane are recruiting for a Senior Surveyor based in the Manchester area, our client is a global leader within infrastructure, they make it safer, stronger and smarter extending the lifespan of structures both new and old on major projects across the UK.

You will be working with an experienced Lifespan Management Team on iconic infrastructure projects and structures. The company are working on over 100 projects in 50 different countries and successful candidates there is a wider opportunity to progress.

In your role as Senior Surveyor you will ensure manual monitoring and topographical survey work is carried out in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner whilst maintaining the highest standards.

Undertake manual monitoring and surveys using a variety of specialist equipment.
Processing and analysing data using various software packages.
Prepare and present reports and drawings for issue to clients.
Develop, lead and support Surveyors in completing their duties.
Support organisational change; Provide flexibility where structural constraints restrict progress.
Complete mandatory vehicle checks to ensure safety and road worthiness.
Complete all training requirements to maintain compliance with FORS standard.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to exercise judgement to solve operational problems where the answer is not always apparent.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with direct reports, colleagues and customers.
Full driving license.
Knowledge of surveying techniques and instrumentation.
Ability to work flexible working hours, including nights & weekends, at various locations throughout the UK and Ireland.
Good knowledge of Office applications, AutoCAD & Landscape software expertise.
Experience of Civil Engineering projects, particularly earthworks.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:

Controller of Site Safety railway competences, Lookout & Site Warden competences.
Ability to contribute effectively to strategic challenges outside of the survey business unit.
Educated to degree level or extensive experience in an engineering discipline.
