Job Description

Senior Land Surveyor required ASAP

Your new company
As a Senior Land Surveyor you will be embedded within a property team in head office. Your new company has grown a great deal to become one of Europe's largest distributors, with over 10 distribution centres in the UK employing over 20,000 people. They achieve long term success by investing in the recruitment, training and development at its core.

Your new role
You will be responsible for the management and expansion of their current property portfolio. You will be proactive in the full acquisition cycle from initial planning, through ongoing asset management, and developing relationships with key third parties along the way such as landlords and developers.

Key Responsibilities:

* Identifying, negotiating and acquiring sites to build new stores
* Managing planning applications from original submission to authorisation
* Supporting all expansion, relocation and improvement projects to our current infrastructure
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with landlords, tenants and developers
* Driving the full development and planning process from initial concept to final completion
* Real estate management of our freehold and leasehold assets

What you'll need to succeed:
In order to succeed in this role you'll need to have a background in land acquisition, ideally within a commercial property setting, although housing development would also be considered. Your background in land and property will mean you'll have excellent refined negotiating skills, excellent commercial acumen and the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels. You'll need to have a degree in a relevant construction, land or surveying subject, and you'll ideally be MRICS, although this is not essential.

What you'll get in return

* Flexible working options available.
* 35 days Holiday
* Company car
* Ongoing training and structured progression
