This is an incredible opportunity for a hard-working CREDIT CONTROLLER / FINANCE ASSISTANT working for a successful and globally recognised PR company, based remotely for now (central London office).This a dynamic, passionate and friendly company, the role offers someone STUDY SUPPORT and plenty of career progression. All round role supporting with Credit Control but also taking on additional responsibility.

Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 per annum + study support and benefits

Location: Working from home at present and back to London couple of days a week

Job Role

  • Working closely with the Finance Manager and supporting with month end duties
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts incorporating P&L, balance sheet, variance analysis and commentary
  • Chasing overdue payments by telephone, email, and letter
  • Logging and resolving client queries
  • Log receipts and update software daily
  • Setting up new clients on internal system and carrying out credit checks when necessary
  • Allocating payments and reconciling customer accounts
  • Reviewing and flagging up potentially problematic accounts
  • Statement production, review and dispatch
  • Issuing and posting sales invoices
  • Liaising with various internal departments to resolve queries
  • Maintain credit card logs and entertainment analysis
  • Ensure credit card forms are returned accurate and in time for month end deadlines
  • Do the monthly accruals for credit cards and POs
  • Producing and reviewing monthly reconciliations
  • Preparing month and year end journals
  • Assist purchase and sales ledger processes as required


Personal Skills and Attributes

  • Strong accounts / finance experience, ideally credit control experience
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Great team player hard working and driven
  • AAT, ACCA or CIMA part qualified
