Samples of the sort of work that we produce can be found on our website.We are looking for someone to join our markets team in London to contribute to our Global Markets and Capital Daily services.Key responsibilities would be as follows:Propose topics internally for our analysis of global markets.Produce regular pieces of written analysis on bonds and equities, primarily in major developed economies.Present our views of global markets to internal and external audiences.Maintain and improve our existing spreadsheets covering the global markets.Capital Economics is committed to equality, inclusion and diversity. We want to explore the widest pool of talent for this position and we particularly welcome applications from women and those from an ethnic minority background.RequirementsThe ideal candidate would have:A strong academic background with, at least, a good undergraduate degree in economics or a closely related subject.A minimum of three years’ experience producing research on bonds and equities.The confidence to present the company’s views of global markets authoritatively.Very strong writing skills.
