Winchester sits in one of the most commercially active parts of the South, with easy reach of Southampton and London. A leading firm of Chartered Accountants there is looking for a CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified Corporate Tax Manager.

You’d own a varied corporate portfolio, handling compliance and advisory work to a high standard and partnering with the partners on the more strategically significant assignments. The firm has a strong Hampshire reputation for its corporate tax work and an inclusive culture, with a route through to Senior Manager. Crowe Watson Recruitment knows the corporate tax landscape across Winchester and the wider region.

What’s the day to day of the role:

• Owning a corporate portfolio across both compliance and advisory work
• Advising on corporation tax, group structures, reorganisations and planning matters
• Reviewing returns and computations drafted by junior staff
• Acting as the trusted contact for clients across the portfolio
• Bringing on junior members of the tax team
• Getting involved in proposals and business development

Required skills and qualifications:

• CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified, with corporate tax experience built up in practice
• At least five years’ experience within a UK Practice environment
• A track record of running a corporate portfolio across compliance and advisory
• Sound technical grounding in UK corporation tax legislation and where it’s heading
• Able to explain complex matters plainly, with a commercial outlook
