It promotes high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour, with a strong focus on helping every student fulfil their potential. Staff work together to provide appropriate support and ensure that students feel encouraged and motivated throughout their education. The school values inclusion, respect and collaboration, creating an environment where students from different backgrounds can thrive. This is a great opportunity to join a busy secondary school community and gain experience working alongside dedicated teaching professionals.

The Role

* Supporting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities across a range of secondary subjects.

* Providing additional guidance to students who may need help understanding instructions or completing tasks.
* Preparing learning materials and assisting teachers with classroom organisation.
* Building positive and professional relationships with students and staff.
* Supporting students' academic progress, confidence and personal development.
* Helping ensure that lessons are accessible and inclusive for students with different learning needs.
* Following safeguarding procedures and promoting the welfare of all students.

The Ideal Candidate

* Graduates are encouraged to apply, particularly those considering a career in teaching, education or a related field.
* Previous experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable.
* Experience in a school, tutoring, mentoring, coaching or youth setting would be beneficial.
* A genuine interest in supporting young people with their education and development.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A patient, approachable and encouraging manner.
* Confidence in supporting classroom learning and promoting positive behaviour.
* The ability to use initiative and adapt to different classroom situations.
* Reliable, organised and willing to learn from experienced teaching staff.
* A collaborative attitude and commitment to creating a positive learning environment.

Why Apply?

* An ideal stepping stone for graduates considering teacher training or a long-term career in education.
* Develop practical classroom skills while working alongside experienced teachers.
* Build experience supporting students across different subjects and learning abilities.
* Contribute to a school community that values student achievement, inclusion and personal development.

If you are enthusiastic about education and want to make a difference in the lives of secondary school students, we would love to hear from you.
