The business also provides advised protection services, including life insurance, critical illness cover, income protection, and home insurance, with a strong focus on personal service, trusted advice, and long-term client relationships.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Mortgage Broker to join the team on a full-time, office-based basis in Gosport.

You will work directly with clients to understand their financial circumstances, assess their mortgage requirements, explain available options, and recommend suitable mortgage and protection products in line with regulatory requirements.

You will manage cases from initial enquiry through to completion, building strong relationships with clients and working closely with lenders, insurers, solicitors, and other stakeholders throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting client meetings and assessing mortgage and protection requirements.
• Sourcing and comparing suitable mortgage products.
• Managing mortgage applications from initial enquiry through to completion.
• Liaising with lenders, insurers, solicitors, and other relevant parties.
• Preparing accurate documentation and maintaining comprehensive client records.
• Providing clear, professional advice and regular updates to clients.
• Building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
• Supporting local marketing and business development activity.
• Keeping up to date with mortgage products, market developments, regulatory requirements, and compliance changes.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Full CeMAP qualification or an equivalent recognised mortgage advice qualification - essential.
• Previous experience as a Mortgage Broker or Mortgage Adviser.
• Strong knowledge of UK residential mortgage products and brokerage processes.
• Knowledge of protection products and personal finance solutions.
• Experience working within a regulated financial services environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to explain complex financial information clearly and confidently.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
• The ability to manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
• A professional, client-focused approach.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a small team.
