A growing audit practice at a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Edinburgh is looking for an ACA or ACCA qualified Audit Manager to take ownership of client relationships and lead a capable team.

Edinburgh's commercial community is diverse and well established, and the firm's client base reflects that, offering breadth across sectors and business sizes. The role carries real management responsibility, with a supported pathway to Senior Manager. Crowe Watson Recruitment knows the Scottish market well at manager level.

What's the day to day of the role:

• Managing audit delivery across a varied and technically interesting client portfolio
• Reviewing audit files and giving clear, constructive feedback to junior and semi senior staff
• Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and managing those relationships
• Supporting partners on complex assignments and strategic client planning
• Leading and developing members of the audit team
• Contributing to business development and growing the firm's audit portfolio

Required skills and qualifications:

• ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong audit background gained in practice
• At least five years' experience within a UK Practice environment
• Proven experience managing a varied audit portfolio and leading a team
• Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing standards and financial reporting frameworks
• Confidence to engage at senior client and partner level, commercially minded and proactive
