Why Join Orchard Manor School?We are seeking a reliable, practical and proactive Caretaker to join our premises team and help maintain our school site to the highest standards.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will play a key part in ensuring our buildings, grounds and facilities remain safe, secure and well maintained, creating an environment where pupils, staff and visitors can thrive.
Working closely with the Premises Team, you will undertake a wide range of maintenance, grounds and site duties, supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the school and helping to provide a safe and welcoming environment for our whole school community
About the RoleWe are looking for someone who is practical, organised and self-motivated, with experience of building and grounds maintenance and a proactive approach to solving problems. You will be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively and will take pride in maintaining a safe, welcoming and well-presented environment.
You will have good general maintenance skills, confidence using IT systems and strong communication skills. You will be able to manage a varied workload, prioritise tasks effectively and respond positively to the changing needs of a busy school environment.
Experience within a school environment would be beneficial, although we welcome applications from candidates with relevant maintenance, facilities, estates or trade experience from other sectors. A full driving licence is essential.
