Accounts Assistant (some hybrid) in Leigh - RG Consultancy Ltd

Sales Ledger

• Raising and issuing customer invoices
• Allocating receipts and reconciling customer accounts
• Chasing outstanding payments and managing aged debt
• Resolving customer invoice queries

Purchase Ledger

• Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Preparing and processing payment runs
• Dealing with supplier queries

Banking & Reconciliations

• Daily bank postings and reconciliations
• Monitoring cash receipts and payments
• Assisting with cash flow reporting

General Accounts

• Assisting with month-end processes
• Journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Supporting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc reporting and administration

• Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant or Finance Assistant role
• Strong knowledge of sales and purchase ledger processes
• Good understanding of reconciliations and general bookkeeping
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• AAT qualified or studying towards AAT would be advantageous

• Salary of £30,000 - £32,000
