Job Description

Working Environment

You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, owning work end-to-end and engaging closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Delivery is supported by a strong technical assurance and review culture, encouraging challenge, learning and high standards.

You will work within security, compliance and governance constraints where quality and judgement matter as much as pace.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of machine learning solutions, from problem definition through experimentation, evaluation and iteration
  • Develop, validate and deploy machine learning models into production environments
  • Apply statistical, mathematical and scientific thinking to frame hypotheses and assess uncertainty
  • Design and run experiments to evaluate model behaviour, performance and user impact
  • Work with real, imperfect data drawn from operational systems and workflows
  • Integrate machine learning components into wider software and data platforms
  • Balance rigour with pragmatism, delivering solutions that are proportionate and effective
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Engage in technical reviews, design discussions and constructive peer challenge

Your Experience

  • Proven experience operating at senior practitioner level as a Machine Learning Engineer, AI Engineer or equivalent
  • Strong grounding in applied mathematics, statistics and scientific practice
  • Excellent Python skills for building, evaluating and deploying machine learning models
  • Experience evaluating models through quantitative evidence and structured experimentation
  • Strong software engineering practices, producing readable, testable and maintainable code
  • Experience integrating ML solutions into production systems and workflows
  • Feels confident working in secure, regulated or high-assurance environments

In Return

You'll work on genuinely challenging machine learning problems where judgement, credibility and delivery matter in a supportive, committed, inclusive environment.

This is an opportunity to operate with autonomy, shape solutions from first principles and contribute to high-impact outcomes within a strong professional culture.

As an organisation and as a team, Guidant Global are committed to fostering an equitable, diverse and inclusive workplace, where every employee and contractor feels valued and empowered throughout their time with us.

We actively seek to recruit talent from all backgrounds, and to draw on a rich blend of experiences, perspectives and creativity.
