Job description:

We are seeking a motivated and curious Junior Data Scientist to join our dynamic Purchasing team. In this role, you will help research, develop, and deliver analytical solutions that empower our department to make data-driven procurement decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging data professional to grow their technical skills while making a tangible impact on continuous improvement and facility operations.

What You Will Do

• Design, build, and maintain visually insightful live dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Extract, clean, and analyze datasets from internal systems using SQL, EDFL, and Power Query.
• Utilize DAX formulas within Power BI to enhance data measurement and meet team requirements.
• Create and format secure data structures using SharePoint, Snowflake, and PowerApps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to translate business needs into effective data solutions.
• Document processes and help train non-technical stakeholders on using new data tools.

What You Will Have

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Foundational proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, and Python or R.
• Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and Microsoft Office/PowerApps.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences.

A portfolio of academic or personal data science projects, or prior internship experience in a similar role, is highly advantageous.
