Job Description
The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment. You will play an important role in helping pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Assisting with learning activities and classroom tasks
- Supporting pupils with their individual learning and development plans
- Helping children develop confidence, independence and social skills
- Providing emotional and behavioural support where required
- Working closely with teachers and other professionals
- Supporting pupils with personal care where necessary
- Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
