Sutton-in-Ashfield | £45,000 - £55,000


Elevation Recruitment Group is working exclusively with a well-established manufacturing business operating within the electrical and engineering markets, currently seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to join their team in Sutton-in-Ashfield.


This is a key role within the business, responsible for developing and maintaining the master production schedule to ensure the efficient use of resources, materials and capacity across the manufacturing operation. You'll act as the central point between sales, procurement, and production, balancing customer demand against manufacturing capability to keep output on track.


Key Responsibilities of the Master Scheduler:

  • Develop, own and maintain the master production schedule across multiple product lines
  • Balance capacity, materials and labour availability against demand to create achievable production plans
  • Work closely with procurement to ensure raw materials and components are available in line with the schedule
  • Liaise with sales and customer service teams to manage customer expectations around lead times and delivery
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, bottlenecks and capacity constraints
  • Monitor schedule adherence and report on KPIs relating to on-time delivery and production efficiency
  • Support S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes
  • Continuously review and improve scheduling processes and systems

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Master Scheduler, Production Scheduler or Planner within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience within electrical, engineering or a related technical manufacturing sector is highly desirable
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Confident communicator, comfortable liaising across production, procurement and sales functions
