Location: Poole
Salary: £15.50 - £18.00 per hour DOE
Contract: Temporary (October to December)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm
Start Date: ASAP

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced HR representative to join their business on a temporary basis to provide cover from October through to late December.

This is an excellent opportunity for a capable HR professional who enjoys a varied generalist role and is confident working independently. You will be the sole dedicated HR representative within the business during this period, managing day-to-day HR administration and supporting managers with employee-related matters.

While you will have autonomy in the role, you'll be supported by a highly experienced Operations Manager and Director, both of whom are extremely HR-savvy, along with access to an external HR advisory service for guidance on more complex issues.

Due to the imminent start date, our client is looking to appoint someone quickly to allow for a full handover before the current HR Representative begins their sabbatical on 1st October.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing all employee starter and leaver processes.
• Preparing employment contracts and associated HR documentation.
• Maintaining employee records and updating the HR system.
• Coordinating employee training administration.
• Ensuring all leaver documentation and processes are completed accurately.
• Acting as the first point of contact for managers with HR-related queries.
• Liaising with the external HR Advice Line for guidance on employee relations matters and HR best practice.
• Preparing and issuing HR correspondence and letters following advice received.
• Supporting managers with attendance, conduct, and general HR administration matters.
• Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with company procedures.

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

• Previous experience in an HR Assistant, HR Administrator, or similar HR support role.
• Strong knowledge of starter and leaver processes.
• Experience producing contracts and HR documentation.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to build relationships with managers.
• Experience using HR systems and maintaining accurate employee records.

Desirable

• CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD.
• Experience working as the sole HR contact within a business.
• Exposure to employee relations administration.
• Experience working with outsourced HR support or advisory services.
