SEN Teaching Assistant Rainbow Room

We are looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school team in Dewsbury, Wakefield, working within their nurturing Rainbow Room provision.

This role involves supporting pupils with special educational needs, helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to deliver tailored support, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis.

Key responsibilities:

Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including communication and sensory needs
Assist in delivering personalised learning activities
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Help create a calm, structured, and supportive classroom environment

We are looking for someone who:

Is patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic
Has experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential)
Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
Is committed to making a difference in childrens lives
