Sales Coordinator in Wigan - Greys Specialist Recruitment

A well-established distributor within the construction and building products sector is looking to recruit a Sales Coordinator to join its successful branch in Leigh.

With an excellent reputation built over more than 25 years, this business is known for investing in its people. Many of its internal sales team joined with limited industry experience and have gone on to build long-term careers, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop within a growing and supportive business.

This is a varied office-based role where you'll work closely with customers, the branch team and technical specialists across the business. You'll become a key point of contact, delivering outstanding customer service while helping to drive sales growth through proactive account management and customer engagement.

The Role

• Respond to customer enquiries, providing product information and technical guidance where required.
• Prepare quotations, process customer orders and keep customers updated on deliveries.
• Manage returns and resolve product queries efficiently.
• Build relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities to increase spend and promote current offers.
• Re-engage lapsed customers and generate additional business through proactive outbound calls.
• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the branch by assisting with key administrative tasks.
• Work closely with colleagues across the business to deliver an excellent customer experience.

What We're Looking For

• Previous telephone-based sales or customer service experience.
• A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and remain organised in a busy environment.
• A team player who enjoys working collaboratively.
• Previous experience within the construction, trade or building products sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
