Job Description

We're working on behalf of a well-established organisation within the media and creative industries to recruit an Events Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build their career in events, with hands-on involvement across a varied programme of awards, masterclasses, and live events.

Reporting to the Head of Events, you'll provide essential administrative and operational support across the organisation's events programme.

Please note this is an immediate start opportunity, candidates with a notice period will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting up and managing online awards entry systems and monitoring submissions
  • Setting up booking platforms and managing event and awards bookings
  • Managing delegate and attendee communications before, during and after events
  • Monitoring and managing event and awards inboxes
  • Processing duplicate awards orders and maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting senior members of the events team with event planning and coordination
  • Providing on-site support at events, including registration, logistics and general event delivery
  • Maintaining accurate booking systems, databases and event records
  • Sending payment deadline reminders and following up outstanding payments
  • Undertaking other duties as required to support the wider events team

Key Requirements:

  • Some experience in events or administration environment
  • Good computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with a wide range of people
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
  • The confidence to work independently while also being a collaborative team player
  • An interest in the media and/or creative industries
