Assistant Accountant in Leicester - Ethos Talent

We're working with a well-established business in Leicester to recruit an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join its Group Finance team. This opportunity would suit a finance professional who is looking to take the next step within a business that can offer genuine variety, responsibility and long-term career development.

This role is hybrid working 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.

Rather than being confined to one area of finance, you'll gain exposure across multiple aspects of group accounting while working alongside an experienced and supportive finance team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Producing accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Processing invoices and managing payment runs
• Preparing Group VAT returns
• Assisting with cash flow forecasting
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
• Assisting with treasury, payroll and internal audit
• Working across intercompany accounting and wider group reporting activities

We're looking for someone who:

• Is AAT qualified, studying towards ACCA/CIMA or qualified through experience
• Enjoys working collaboratively within a team
• Has strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
• Is organised, proactive and keen to continue learning and developing their career
