Tax Governance & SAO Specialist - Robert Half in London - eFinancialCareers

The engagement involves acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support an audit review of an Investment Bank's Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) governance and testing framework.

The focus will be on providing expert advice and guidance throughout the audit, helping to assess whether annual HMRC SAO attestations are supported by:

1. An appropriate controls framework
2. A risk-based testing approach
3. Robust governance processes
4. Alignment with leading market practices

The SME would not be responsible for conducting the audit itself, but would provide specialist input and challenge throughout the engagement.

Commitment

1. Approximately 15 days of work between now and Christmas
2. Spread across a 3-month audit
3. Indicative schedule:

1. Month 1: ~6 days (scoping and planning)
2. Month 2: ~3 days (fieldwork support)
3. Month 3: ~6 days (reporting and review)

1. All days would be agreed and scheduled in advance

Location & Flexibility

1. Remote working is fully supported
2. Work can largely be completed in your own time
3. Weekend working may be possible if preferred
4. Flexibility can be accommodated around other commitments
