Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Premises Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Lewisham, starting now!

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean and well-presented school environment and enjoys being part of a supportive school community.

As a Premises Assistant, you will support the smooth day-to-day running and maintenance of the school site. Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs around the school
• Ensuring the school buildings and grounds are safe, secure and well maintained
• Supporting with opening and closing the school premises
• Moving furniture and equipment when required
• Assisting with deliveries and contractors
• Carrying out health and safety checks
• Maintaining outdoor areas and playgrounds
• Reporting maintenance issues and supporting the Site Manager where needed
• Helping to ensure the school provides a welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors

The school is looking for someone who is:

Reliable, punctual and hardworking
Practical and confident carrying out general maintenance tasks
Proactive, organised and able to work independently
Friendly and approachable with a professional manner
Committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety
Ideally experienced in a school, public-sector or similar premises/maintenance environment

Previous school experience is desirable but not essential.
