The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cash & Working Capital Analyst to join a busy finance team. This role is ideal for a part-qualified finance professional looking to develop their treasury, cash management and working capital experience within a fast-paced environment. You'll play a key role in managing cash flow forecasting, banking activities, financial reporting and process improvement initiatives, while working closely with both UK and international stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing daily cash positions and liquidity requirements
  • Maintaining and updating cash flow forecasts
  • Processing and approving payments through online banking platforms
  • Acting as a key contact for banking relationships and queries
  • Monitoring and reporting on working capital performance
  • Producing regular cash, debt and financial performance reports
  • Reviewing bank reconciliations and supporting month-end processes
  • Preparing VAT returns and assisting with regulatory submissions
  • Maintaining banking mandates, user access and controls
  • Supporting internal audit and compliance requirements
  • Identifying opportunities to improve, streamline and automate finance processes
  • Assisting with finance transformation and shared service initiatives
  • Working closely with UK and overseas teams to ensure accurate financial processing
  • Supporting stakeholder queries and resolving finance-related issues
Essential:
  • 3-5 years' experience within a finance, treasury or working capital role
  • Experience with cash flow forecasting and cash management
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable and working capital principles
  • Experience preparing reconciliations and financial reports
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience using finance systems and ERP platforms
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable:
  • Experience working with shared service or offshore finance teams
  • Knowledge of Power BI
  • Experience supporting process improvement projects
  • Exposure to treasury or banking operations
  • AAT qualified
  • Studying towards ACCA or CIMA
  • Degree not essential
