Director - Java eTrading Engineer (FX Technology / OMS) in London - Robert Walters

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of strategically important trading technology while working directly with senior business and technology stakeholders.

What you'll do:

* Lead architectural design and implementation across the electronic trading stack
* Build high-performance, resilient Java solutions for order ingestion, routing and execution
* Partner directly with FX trading and product teams
* Drive automated testing and test-driven development
* Research and implement performance optimisation techniques
* Produce clear technical documentation and technology roadmaps

What you'll bring:

* Expert-level knowledge of Core Java
* Strong experience building order management or order-routing systems
* Electronic trading experience across FX, Rates, Equities or Listed Derivatives
* Experience designing fault-tolerant transaction-processing architectures
* Strong understanding of multithreading and Java performance optimisation
* Experience with low-latency or no-GC Java development would be advantageous
* Strong test-driven development and software engineering practices
