The OpportunityAs a VAT Manager, you'll provide high-quality, commercially focused VAT and indirect tax advice across a broad range of sectors and technical areas. You'll work closely with clients and colleagues to deliver practical solutions to complex issues while helping to drive the continued growth of the indirect tax offering.

What You'll Be DoingDeliver Technical VAT AdviceYou'll provide practical and commercially focused advice on a wide range of VAT and indirect tax matters, supporting clients from owner-managed businesses through to large multinational organisations.
Manage Complex ProjectsYou'll oversee VAT projects from inception through to completion, ensuring work is delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Handle HMRC Disputes and InvestigationsYou'll support clients through HMRC enquiries, alternative dispute resolution processes, and tribunal matters where required.
Advise on TransactionsYou'll assist clients with the VAT implications of acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, and other significant transactions.
Build Client RelationshipsYou'll develop trusted relationships with clients and external intermediaries, identifying opportunities to provide additional services and broaden client engagement.
Support Business DevelopmentYou'll contribute to marketing and business development initiatives, help generate new opportunities, and raise your profile within the indirect tax market. This may include producing technical content, articles, and thought leadership pieces.
Develop and Lead TeamsYou'll support, coach, and mentor junior team members, reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback. You'll also contribute to team management responsibilities, including appraisals, workflow management, and billing.
Stay Ahead of Technical DevelopmentsYou'll keep up to date with changes in VAT legislation and case law, sharing relevant insights with both clients and colleagues.
